If your blog feed is anything like mine, it has been inundated with postings on pink favorites in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month (this month, in case you live under a rock… don’t feel bad, that is where I generally spend most of my time). This is a cause that I appreciate, and also a color that I find appealing so I thought I’d join in the fun and create a favorites of my own 🙂
So let’s get this party started!
1. Yes to Grapefruit Correct and Repair Brightening Facial Towelettes – Warning: if you have dry skin, do not use these every day! The grapefruit line seems to be geared more towards acne prone skin and can therefore be very drying. I probably only use these wipes twice a week to remove makeup, and only if my face is acting out. But I enjoy the grapefruit smell, and appreciate the size and moisture of these wipes.
2. The Body Shop Peach Body Butter – Just an FYI, peach is nothing but an orangy-pink so yes this does count! I picked this bad boy up just a week or so ago at Marshals or TJ Maxx (I can’t remember which). It was just $5.99 ($20 at Ulta) and I have been using it every single day! I just can’t believe how quick this soaks into my skin and moisturizes. I enjoyed this so much I went back Marshals yesterday and bought all they had left.
3. NYX Butter Lipstick in Snow Cap – I originally purchased this nude-pink shade because I was in the process of formulating a reverse Vamp look (black/red eye with skin-toned lips). I don’t know what the hell happened though because this shade is somehow magically my “my lip but better,” shade and I just love it. I do find that because this product is so buttery, I do have to reply constantly (especially since I am a chronic coffee drinker), but I don’t mind because the shade is perfect and the product is quite moisturizing too.
4. Julep Nail Polish in Natalia – This is just such a pretty, light pink. As a matter of fact, this shade is probably my favorite to put on my toes because it is pretty, light and doesn’t compete with whatever pick of the week I have on my fingers. I also love the sparkle and how it is built into the polish instead of creating 3D lumps on my nails. For more reviews on Julep, click here.
So that’s that for my pink-ish products this month! What are some of yours!?
