Happy Valentines day my loves! My husband and I have no plans. People are stupid enough on regular days (I passed 5 separate car accidents on the way home from work yesterday… 5…) so we try and stay inside on the days when all the vehicularly challenged are out at once. What are your plans!?
If you don’t have a Valentine, don’t worry about it. Tomorrow all the V-day shit goes on sale (namely chocolate) and that’s all that matter anyways because unlike significant others, chocolate is always there for you when you are down, always an affordable date, always supportive when it’s that time of the month, and always willing to stick by (or to) you no matter what. Hehe 🙂
Anyhowwwwwwwww, today I wanted to share with you all my TOP 5 MAKEUP FINDS UNDER $5 that are all cruelty free! Please let me know in the comments section if you would be interested in more posts like this, a GRWM featuring these products, or individual reviews and what not.
So let’s hop to it!
At just $4.97, not only are these lipsticks some of the most affordable at the drugstore (both cruelty free, and non-cruelty free alike), but they are also a opaque, long lasting, and require no lip-liner. I have a review & swatches of their original formula here, and then their new matte formula here if you’re interested.
I know you probably won’t believe me when I say this, but I prefer this $3.99 matte foundation to either my Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation ($38) or the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation ($39). Unlike the UD Naked, it’s not too watery and unlike that Tarte Am Clay, it’s not too thick… it’s just right so that you get a beautiful, matte, medium to full coverage that lasts alllllll day and even blurs minor imperfections (namely, pores).
This is a Target find that’ll set you back $4.97. The color range isn’t as broad as I would like but it’s growing and always in tune with fasionable and seasonal changes. I especially love these polishes for their staying power (4-5 days, easy) and the drying time isn’t too shabby either.
There is a reason you see these in everyone’s top 5’s. You can’t beat them. For just $2.99 you get three, pigmented, easy to blend shadows that I personally think are on par with Too Faced or TheBalm. Enough said.
Burt’s Bees lip-balm
Sure, $2.99 is basically double the price you would have paid for a regular old chapstick, but remember that it’s cruelty free! Furthermore, this product is made with oils that sink into you lips and actually replenish their moisture long term! There are tons of flavors and seasonal balms to try making this brand’s balms my most favorite out of any cruelty free balm out there.
