Yessssssssssssss, finally! Too Faced FINALLY gave us what we have been begging for and released an ALL MATTE version of the ever so popular Natural Eyes palette! Do you need it? Does Sonny need Cher? Does Bonnie need Clyde? Does Kanye need Kanye?
OMG girls. Hold the phone. Hold. The. Phone. Just look at these swatches:
No primers, ladies. Those swatches are Au Naturel; and clearly a Too Faced Natural Matte vs. Tarte Tartelette is in order. No need to twist my arm, folks, I live to give the people what they want. But first? My review.
- Great mix of warm and cool tones (lovinggggggggggg that bottom row)
- Kinda looks like fall, no?
- Is it just me or are all of the mattes that were in the OG Natural palette in this one?
- Easy to blend
- Not powdery at all
- Not chalky at all
When a matte God and a matte Goddess fall in love, they make beautiful perfect little Too Faced matte babies. The texture of this palette is perfect. Not a dud in the lot. And I love the nice mix of warm and cool browns and rosy colors. If I had to pick a fight, it would be that so many shades were mimicked exactly from the Natural Eyes palette (Heaven, Cashmere Bunny, Sexspresso and Nude). Butttttttt even then, there really was a high demand for an all matte version of the Natural Eyes palette and so I personally appreciate that the original mattes were re-used.
P.S. There are no dupes in the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I do not currently own the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar, but if I do ever decide I cannot live without it (likely) you will be the first to know if there are dupes.
Is it worth it?
Damn skippy. Do you need it? At $36, that’s between you and your wallet. That having been said, if you are currently in the market for just ONE matte palette, I would suggest that you check out my Tartelette vs. Natural Matte comparison [here] before buying though because I definitely don’t think you need both.
Thanks so much for reading, guys! Please don’t forget to subscribe, and if you missed it, don’t forget to check out my review and swatches of the brand new Coastal Scents Revealed 3 palette here.
