I’ve been sick 🙁
Hey y’all, happy Monday! My life has been overwhelmingly gross the past two weeks as I’m sure you can tell by my delayed response time and the limited number of reviews I’ve been sharing. Seriously, I’ve been blowing my nose so much I look like freaking Rudolph and I’m pretty much living on Monster Energy drinks, Ricola and Airborne. I don’t even know what the hell is wrong with me. I’m soooooooo tired, my throat is so itchy and my nose wont stop running yet I still have a normal appetite and don’t otherwise feel sick. I’m thinking maybe I have allergies I didn’t know about!?
Collab & new Youtube video
Last night the hubby and G-baby helped me to film a collab I’m doing with Anouck Schurink (check out her blog here) for Youtube. I was up until 1 in the morning editing and adding transitions but I still need to go back in tonight to add the voice-over. Besides being a day late to post (I’m so, so sorry Anouck), I’m actually really excited about the results and can’t wait to share!
getting ready for travel
I’m soooooooooooo far behind on packing also. My husband and I are taking G-baby to Texas (this will be our first time flying with a 17 month old, so if you have tips, share ’em) to visit my family on the 31st. We’ve already arranged for Michel’s aunt to stay with our pets for the week but I still need to pack and shop for that matter… kids grow so freaking fast! The little bugger doesn’t fit in ANY of his clothes anymore. I literally sent him to school this morning in PJs.
And then there is the matter of traveling with a concealed weapon LEGALLY mind you. Don’t freak out, my husband and I both practice our right to bear arms as described within the 2nd amendment and it is perfectly legal for us to bring our handguns with us on vacation, we just need to research a bit with the airlines to figure out exactly what to do. I know for sure the gun has to be in a checked bag and CANNOT be with your carry on items (for obvious reasons), but I’m not sure if you are allowed to bring your bullets with you or not… I’m so scared my bag will get lost though and the last thing I want is my gun in the hands of someone else so I may leave it home. Ugh. Can’t decide.
Lastly, I need to order a car seat for G-baby and get it delivered to my moms house like yesterday. I don’t think I’m going to bring his stroller… he doesn’t really use it anymore anyways. If he’s not walking, he’s being held and I’m sure my parents will be all too happy to tote his chunky self EVERYWHERE.
So I’ve been talking about hosting a few giveaways and I just wanted to update you guys real fast so you don’t think I forgot about you. On April 1st (no, this isn’t a April Fools joke), I’m going live with my first ever International Giveaway to celebrate my 27th birthday!
This giveaway is hosted 100% by me. I work very hard for everything that I have, and I know that while I’m partially blessed, it is also an attestation to my knowledge, education, drive and work ethic that I can afford to invest in things that I don’t need (like makeup). I’ve never been huge on celebrating my own birthday because accepting gifts for something I had no control over (being born) makes me feel uncomfortable. But I’m extremely excited to be able to offer you all this opportunity to celebrate with me by participating in this giveaway!
After much deliberation, I’ve decided that this giveaway will be for the new all matte Tarte release, the Tartelette! If you are a regular around these parts, you know that palettes are my obsession. Couple that with the fact that the Tartelette is just THAT badass and you have a recipe for perfection!
I don’t know what countries allow the shipping of cosmetics through customs and which ones don’t so if for any reason I am not legally able to ship this palette to the winner, I will instead issue an E-gift-card in the amount of $50.
Please help me to celebrate by checking in any time from April 1st to April 12th (April 12th is my birthday and the day that the winner will be chosen) to enter.
