What a lovely week 🙂 For those of you who didn’t know, I’ve been in Texas visiting my family with my son! My dad got to see him for the first time, and we just had a blast. I’m still editing the photos, but I’m looking forward to sharing more with you asap!
In other exciting news, do you remember the Sweet Chai Lipscrub that I got in my February Vegan Cuts box and was raving about!? I’ll link the review [here] if not, but basically I recently got the opportunity to collaborate with the makers of said badass lipscrub, Lauren Brooke Cosmetics; and not only have they sent me a few products to review, but they have also agreed to giveaway the lipscrub that started it all to one lucky reader!
If you wish to enter, here are the rules:

Easy-peasy, right!? I’ll pick a winner next Sunday. Now on to the reviews!
The first product that I picked to test out for you guys was one of their Lip Colours in the shade Fleur. I wasn’t certain how I would feel about this product at first because while the color looked lovely (a very pretty cool-toned pinky-plum), I can’t help but notice ALL of their shades appear to be frosted. And I can now attest they most certainly are frosted in real life. But I’m seeing so much 90s around here these days, I’m not mad about it.
It has a bit of a funny smell (I swear it’s the beeswax I’m smelling), but between that wax, the coconut and the vitamin E, I’ve got to admit too that this lipstick is extremely hydrating. I’m also happy to report that I didn’t have any problems with feathering (my biggest lipstick peeve) either!
I was not happy with the wear time, though. I could definitely notice fading around the inner parts of my lips within an hour of application and by hour two, most of the color left had settled into whatever crevices of my lips they could find which was no bueno.
All in all, this is a great cruelty-free (not Vegan) and natural lipstick if you want something moisturizing, don’t mind frosty finishes and aren’t bothered by reapplying every hour or so.
I can’t even begin to tell y’all how excited I was to test out their Eye Trio Sets. You can also get these pressed in duos but I’m not personally a duo kinda girl… I like to reach for one lot to get my look done and over with and two shadows is just not enough for me!
I picked the Toffee trio because the shades reminded me of the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette that I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee for an everyday look. All three shadows are cool toned, and you get two shimmers (dark brown and light brown) and then a matte “highlight” shade that reminds me a lot of the Wet n Wild Cream Brule shade that I like to use for cleaning up edges and toning down over application situations.
I tried these shadows WITHOUT primer and they lasted a good 5-6 hours without it! There was no creasing, and they faded very evenly. They are nicely pigmented and super easy to blend. In short… I loved them and highly recommend them!
So that’s it you guys! I hope you have found these reviews helpful in your natural/cruelty-free makeup endeavours and I highly, highly, highly suggest you spend a second or two entering the giveaway for the lipscrub. No, it’s not an expensive product but it is so totally obsession worthy.
