Holla, amigos! I hope your week is off to a good start. Mine is freaking fabulous. I mean, I work for corperate America, so of course I hate Mondays but I had a really great weekend! Here’s the short story:
- Cleaned the shit out of the house (loving the freshness of it all)
- Sat around the house waiting for the dryer guy to fix our dryer (I actually appreciated this… not being able to leave helped me to relax for once)
- Hauled the shit out of the internet. Seriously… ELF, Walgreens, Macy’s and QVC don’t know what hit them.
If you’re interested in seeing a haul from me, let me know, but today I wanted to share with you guys some looks that I’ve been rocking lately using just 3 shades. And all for just $3!
To be honest, had my beautiful from Katie from Plus+Beauty not requested that I create a few looks using this trio I probably never would have featured it on my blog. Don’t get me wrong, the quality of this “Walking on Eggshells” trio is exactly what you would expect from Wet N Wild, I just rarely go this “natural” with my makeup. But I’ve had a blast pairing these looks with bolder lipsticks than I normally wear on a daily basis so thank you so much Katie for the inspiration!
Onward and upward!
Look number one features all three eyeshadows in their respective positions on the lid, crease and browbone. Yes, this look is the most obvious to create because the instructions are literally printed into the eyeshadows, but I like to put it together for you so that you can see exactly what you’d end up with.
WHAT’S ON MY LIPS: Wet N Wild Lipstick in “Just Peachy”
Look number two is equally as easy to recreate as look number one, but I bet it never crossed your mind to try it! All you have to do is the opposite of what the instructions on the palette tell you to do! Put the browbone color on your lid, leave the crease color where it is and then smoke the crease color out with the color that was meant for your lid. Just trust me. Or see for yourself!
WHAT’S ON MY LIPS: Milani Lipstick in “Matte Orchid“
And lastly, we’re going to create a smokey nighttime look that I bet my left sock you never thought would be possible with this natural looking little trio 😉 All you do is slap the crease color all over your lid and blend it up into your eye socket. Smoke that out with the lid shade, and then use the browbone shade to highlight! Winged liner is optional, but prefered.
WHAT’S ON MY LIPS: ELF Moisturizing Lipstick in “Red Carpet“
That’s it for this week you guys! I still have a number of palettes that I’m hoping to feature in the coming months including some high-end palettes. Of course, I’d love to know
