If you’ve been here for a while, you know my husband ordered me a 6-month subscription to Petit Vour (a Vegan and Cruelty-Free beauty box) for our 2nd year anniversary. At just $15 a month (with FREE SHIPPING in the US), PV is actually very affordable and in the 6 months I’ve been subscribed I’ve never once felt like I didn’t get my monies worth.
Speaking of getting your monies worth, one of the biggest issues that I’ve had with subscriptions in the past is when companies repeatedly send you the same crap month after month. With Petit Vour, each box typically contains 4 generously sized deluxe samples or full-sized products and in the 6 months I’ve been subscribed they only once sent me a “dupe” product and even then it was an eye shadow in a totally different color (so I’m not complaining). They also do a really good job of balancing skin care, hair-care, nail-care and makeup products in each of their boxes; who doesn’t appreciate a good variety!?
If I had to complain, I would like to see more makeup incorporated above the other products, but that’s obviously just a personal preference.
WILL I RE-SUB?
I would absolutely, 100% love to re-subscribe to Petit Vour in the future! I adore this subscription and am very sad that it’s gone so soon! Although I do still have plenty of products to remember them by 😉
The reason I am not rushing out to resubscribe now is that I still have until December on my Vegan Cuts subscription and I just subscribed to the ELF Beauty Bundle too. I love testing out new products and especially sharing my finds with you guys but it just doesn’t make financial sense for me right now to be buying every awesome subscription out there at the moment.
When my Vegan Cuts subscription ends in December, I’ll update you guys with a “Last Unboxing” for them too where we will discuss which box I’m going to subscribe to for 2016. But until then, let’s do this unboxing my friends!
THE AUGUST 2015 BOX
Juara Clove Flower & Turmeric Serum: This serum is supposed to boost radiance while fighting signs of aging. I can’t vouch for the fighting signs of aging bit as these samples only contained enough product for 4 uses, but I do feel that this serum leaves my face feeling smooth and moisturized.
Modern Minerals Tea Rose Finishing Glow: This is the 3rd Modern Minerals item I’ve received in a Petit Vour subscription and as always I was excited to test it out. Because of the pink tint, my first impression of this product was that it was a blush but it applies shear and the shimmer adds just a tiny bit of glow to the cheeks. I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet… on the one hand, it’s too sheer to be a highlight, but it also has too much shimmer to be a finishing powder. So I’m thinking blush topper!?
Mychelle Dermaceuticals Fruit Enzyme Scrub: Where the heck has this scrub been all of my life!? It smells so good (like the Hello scent by Harvey Prince… aka candied lemon). Also, how they combined such a gentle moisturizing wash with such small but effective scrub beads is beyond me but I’m loving this scrub so far!
P.S. This scrub retails for $18. My whole box was just $15!
Yarok Feed Your Shine Hair Serum: By adding a few drops to your hair before using heating products, this serum is supposed to give you some extra shine. According to the packaging you can use it on dry hair too but speaking from experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. Overall I’m enjoying testing it out.
Yarok Feed Your Curls Defining Crème: This was a bonus in the box this month and it’s supposed to moisturize curly hair. The last time I used a product that was designed for curly hair I ended up looking like a grease ball so this sample will be making its way to a new home shortly 🙂
So that’s it! What do you guys think, is it worth it!?
P.S. If you order 6 months in advance (which is $90) there is typically always a coupon on their site for a free bonus! Right now you can get a Prince Harvey “Hello” Perfume ($26 value)! Just use the code HELLO at checkout.
