Lately I’ve been feeling inspired to love my body more and stop punishing it by making it wear the same maternity jeans I bought 3 years ago (my son was born October 23, 2013 and I haven’t been pregnant since). So through some random internet clickings I discovered Caroline and her 37 piece wardrobe.
I also discovered Trendsend which is a clothing subscription service and these quartz earrings that I’ve been obsessing over but all in due time, my friends, all in due time. And don’t even get me started on the 2016 simplified planners that Emily Ley just released… *drool*!

Basically the premise of the Capsule Wardrobe is to limit your seasonal wardrobe to a select number of pieces (shoes, tops, bottoms, dresses & outerwear) and thereby spend less money/time looking for matching outfits in the morning/shopping. Cleaning out your closest of the excess also simplifies your life and sort of forces you to focus on the present (as in, no more buying size 6 dresses for my size 14 body, and saving size 3 jeans “just in case” when they haven’t fit me since I discovered the benefits of actually eating).
To be honest with you, the entire concept of downsizing has been on my mind for awhile now. In fact, I’m hoping to get around to de-cluttering my makeup collection this weekend. Not my palettes though… I’m not ready for that kinda crazy…
Although, the entire concept has me contemplating The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up as my next book read. In fact, we have a community yard sale coming up October the 10th… who knows, with enough motivation I might get that garage cleared out yet!
