I recently began the process of decluttering my life and with no end in sight to the mountains of crap I’ve managed to hoard over the past several years, I’ve decided to begin a more organic approach to the reviews that I do here on Hello Kaily. Basically, instead of buying a crap-ton of new products I know I’ll never use in shades I don’t even like all for the sake of a review and a few swatches, I’m going to go back to the basics of sharing with you products I love and use practically everyday.
Enter: Wet n Wild coloricon Contouring Palette in Dulche De Leche.
Now, I’m not going to lie to you… I hate the highlight. The only thing that the highlight half of this palette does is leave powder residue on your face. Not cute. Sure, I could use it as a base for my eyeshadow, but you know me! I’d much rather complain about it being a crappy highlight.
That contour though!? Love at first swipe!
Dulche De Leche, is the lightest of the two contour palettes available exclusively at Walmart, and it retails for $3.93. Each palette comes with approximately 2.17 oz of lightly-pigmented, long-lasting, matte product that just melts into your skin in the most natural way (well… as natural as you can really get when your buffing a brown line down the side of your face).
Things that I love about the contour shade include (but are not limited to):
- It’s cool enough for a fair gal like me to actually contour with and look somewhat natural
- It’s not super pigmented, so you don’t have to be too careful with it and it’s easy to blend
- It lasts allllllllllllll day long
- It’s matte! Who contours with glitter!? WHO!!??
And there you have it folks. Perfection incarnate.
