The Tartelette in Bloom is Tarte’s Spring relase for 2016 and the follow up to their all-matte Tartelette. Unlike the Tartelette, the in Bloom (or Tartelette 2 as I like to call it) contains 2 shimmers (Rocket and Funny Girl) and 1 metalic (Firecracker).
Just like the original Tartelette, all of these shades (with the exception of Funny Girl which requires some building) are highly pigmented and long-lasting.
If you are familiar with the original Tartelette then you already know what to expect when it comes time to blend: a little extra elbow-grease. But personally I feel the high-impact pigmentation is well worth the extra work.
Edit: A few people have stopped by to say they are surprised to hear I don’t find these shadows to be super blendable. I will say that they perform just as well as the original Tartelette so if you were impressed with the Tartelettes blendability, you won’t be let down here.
The mattes in this version are a bit more powdery than the original and most (if not all) of the shades in this palette have a ton of fall-out.
When push comes to shove, this is a great palette for neutral lovers but they’re not the most long-wearing I’ve ever tried so it’s something to keep in mind.
