In continuation with Blogmas I give you………. my November Favorites! Stash, Ingrid, Sharon and I are all doing Blogmas together and while some of our posts will coordinate most of them will be unique to each blogger. Today is one of those unique days so below I’ve outlined for you all the fun:
- Stashmatters – Ugly Christmas Sweaters
- Curly Spring Blossom – Christmas Decorations
- Sharon Beauty Prime – Wordless Wednesday
If you missed it, yesterday we talked about Red and Green Favorites, and tomorrow we’ll all be doing gift guides and I’ve got to tell you I’m really excited! I’ve found all sorts of fun and unique stuff from $15-$100. Okay, let’s talk favorites!
Glam Natural Finishing Powder
This showed up in the LaRitzy box I was sent this past month and I freaking LOVE it. It’s translucent so it doesn’t affect the look of my foundation other than to leave a blurred effect across pores and fine lines. It didn’t keep me matter than the $3 elf powder that I love, but sometimes a girl just wants to look flawless!
Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in “Walking on Eggshells”
I love this so much I actually hit pan on the lid shade this month which NEVER freaking happens. The shades are nothing special but the pigmentation is good and the trio as a whole is great for quick looks that can be tossed together with minimal effort as evidenced by it’s residence in my Emergency Makeup Bag.
Julep Polish in “DeAnn”
I’m not a nail polish kind of girl. I paint my nails because I like the look, but the process itself (sitting still, trying to keep a steady hand while baby-Godzilla is tackling you with bear-hugs, and being helpless for 1-3 hours cause God knows NOTHING dries in 20 minutes) is so annoying. So when I can find a pretty color that looks even in two coats and will last 4+ days I’m impressed!
Wet n Wild Polish in “I Red a Good Book”
Speaking of being impressed, this is the most long lasting nail polish I’ve ever tried in my life. I’ll get a full week out of it and better yet it’s just $1.99! Besides that, can you get a more perfect holiday color!? I think not!
Acure Firming Facial Serum
Several months ago Acure sent me a boatload of their products to do whatever I want with. I’ve always been a fan of the brand (as evidenced by my first ever giveaway on Hello Kaily), but this “serum” (it’s more like an oil) blows everything they’ve ever made out of the water. I like to use it at night and in the morning my face is moisturized, healthy looking, tighter looking, my pores look smaller… I just love it.
Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
Until I tried this facial scrub from Vasanti, the Stem Cell one Acure makes was my favorite. At 1/3 the price, I still highly recommend that one butttt the texture here is just so fine and a quick scrub will annihilate any little patch of dry skin so fast. It’s just amazing.
Wet n Wild Bronzer (it’s a highlight) in “Reserve Your Cabana”
I finally found me a drugstore highlighter! I love this one from WNW because it’s not too loud but it still gives you a pretty glow. There is also a shit ton of product in here, so it will last forever, and the neutral undertones make it just perfect for anyone (but especially fair gals like myself).
Tarte Amazonian Lipstick in “Lychee”
Long time favorite, as I’m sure you know already. These products don’t last long but they are very creamy and comfortable feeling and the light wash of pink-brown color is just what you need to compliment an everyday warm-toned eye look (which most of us have been rocking this Fall, I’m sure).
Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick in “Matte Blush”
When I’m not wearing warm shadows, I love pinky-purpley-mavue looks and this matte-mauve from Jordana is just perfect. You for sure need to make sure you exfoliate your lips before wearing this lipstick cause it’s a clinger for sure, but for less than $3 it’s quite nice.
LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in “Wildest Dreams”
I’ve only had this a few days so far so I’m not considering it a NOVEMBER favorite per say, but I just wanted to tell you about it before it sales out. I’m actually wearing it in my YouTube version of this months favorites if you want to check it out live and in action, but this is just the perfect shade for the holiday, it’s got great lasting power, it doesn’t bleed and it’s just $8! Plus it matches the Wet n Wild polish I just told you about perfectly 🙂
Tartelette in Bloom Palette
I did a first impressions of this on my channel and I’ve got a full review here on the blog. Here’s what you need to know: this palette is boring, but it has everything you need for a neutral everyday look no matter your preference for warm or cool tones. It’s got three foiled-feeling shadows that really pack a punch. And lastly, it’s just as pigment-rich as the OG Tartelette, only it blends better. Need I say more?
Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette
Something that I was NOT expecting to love is the Anastasia Self-Made palette. My other palettes I’ve purchased from her I got free with Birchbox points but this one I actually scored with Ulta rewards (save those points, ladies) and I think it was a good use of resources! It’s not an all inclusive palette by any means because there really isn’t anything that you can use as a transition shade, but the pigmentation and blendability are there and there are some really fun shades like Deep Purple, Isla and Pink Champagne. It’s not a must, but it is fun!
On to my favorite part of these monthly posts… let’s talk about the shit I regret!
- Tarte Greatest Glitz Palette – Not pigmented, muddy, hella chalky and the blushes totally suck.
- 100% Pure Black Tea Long Last Liquid Eye Liner – This shit crumbles.
- Milani Blush in Delizioso Pink – Patchy as hell (I think I got a bad one, everyone else seems to love this).
- ELF Artistry Palette – GAH! Don’t even get me started on how much I regret blowing $20 on this POS! Just read the review here.
