I’m finding it hard to coupe with the fact that Christmas is just 5 short days away. I feel like I literally just put up the Christmas Tree and now I’m going to have to take it back down. Not to mention it will be 2016 in two weeks.
Now, I’m not really one to make New Year’s resolutions, but there are a few things that I’ve been hoping to accomplish before my 28th birthday and while I know April is still a chunk of time away, it’s close enough that I’m going to need to step it up.
One thing I was hoping to do more of my 27th year on this earth was to appreciate myself a little bit more. I rarely treat myself to things outside of makeup and lately I’ve been coveting these gold plated diamond shaped dangle earrings from Lafayette and these give life studs (also from Lafayette).
This weekend or next, I’m also hoping to go through and finally donate all the size 3 jeans and xs tops I’ve been promising myself I’d get out of my closet. Just in time for a tax break too 😉
I’ve also been on the lookout for some quality made leggings for Winter too and I think these Mara leggings might just be thick enough to do the job without showing every little lump and bump. I think they’ll also look great with this Curved-Hem Pullover Sweater from Old Navy.
That having been said, I really need to get a jump on my diet. I’ve been eating when I’m not hungry, hiding wrappers from my husband and gaining weight (surprise, surprise) and I’m just sick of it. Last week I got up to 185 lbs and I’ve decided that this is just not how I want to live my life. So I bought myself a few Healthy Choice meals (the Homestyle Salisbury Steak is my favorite) to replace lunch and I’m leaving ALL of my money at home so I stay out of the vending machines. I know frozen meals aren’t the best for you, but historically they’ve always been something to help me get started on a diet, and then after a week or two I transition myself into the fresh stuff.
