Have you ever placed an order for a makeup item thinking it’s what you’re picturing in your head (but not double checking that it’s what’s in your online cart) and then you totally get something else!? Well, Cindy-Lou was supposed to be Mary-Lou. So there’s that. But! Cindy-Lou was only $16 cause I bought her on Overstock so I’m not totally heartbroken.
To give you a better idea of what you’re looking at, there are 3 swatches shown above. The swatch closest to my tattoo is one swipe, the one below it is two and then the third swatch is what you get if you sheer it out (a pretty peachy-pinky flush).
I wish I could say that I’m in love, but I’m not. It’s not really the products fault, though, it’s my fault for ordering the wrong thing. I really wanted a flashy highlight but this one is just far, far, far too warm for me. I’ve been trying to make it work, though, and so far I don’t mind it if used as a blush topper. The wear time is okay too for anyone wanting to purchase this as an actual highlight (maybe 5 hours). I’m just also more of a matte blush kind of girl, so let’s just enjoy the irony of that.
Do you own any of theBalm highlights!? What are your thoughts?
