Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays and I pretty much have my mother to thank for that. Not only was it just one out of three days in the entire year that she’d let us sit at the “fancy” table (dining room table vs. kitchen table), but it’s hard not to love a holiday that your mother packs you an Easter Basket even when you are well into your 20’s!
Now that my son is old enough to appreciate things like jelly beans and chocolate bunnies, it’s my turn to share that with him!
After breakfast (cinnamon toast pancakes), we dressed Gabriel up in his Easter outfit and headed to a local park. The suspenders, bow tie and hat were all from the Target dollar spot if you can believe it! And I was impressed with how patient he was while my husband snapped a few “quick” Easter pics!
Doesn’t he look so grown in the picture on the right! It’s almost like getting a glimpse at his future!
Thank goodness we had the sense to leave the egg hunt for last. This kid was covered in chocolate before we left the park. On the right, you can see him with a mouthful of bunnies (the chocolate variety), and on the left, you can see him holding an empty egg. I’m sure the look on his face says it all… “all gone?,” he says!
He was so wired he literally stood in place and started spinning in circles. Needless to say, he slept really good that night. What did you do for Easter?
