A subscriber recently left me a comment which contained a link and coupon to save $50 on a $75 purchase from BeautyKind. This instantaneously set off a red flag for me (spam), but you know me and coupons, so it only took a few minutes before I decided to google the website myself.
It turns out BeautyKind does exist (they’re actually pretty awesome), and the coupon did work! So I went ahead and used the opportunity to pick out a few products from a brand I don’t normally shop from: Jouer.
Look how neat the packaging is! You can attach the products together to create your own “palette.” Honestly, it’s a bit cheesy for me, but I do love how sleek and simple the packaging is otherwise.
My first choice was a beautiful taupe eyeshadow single in the shade “Amaretto.” I love the satin texture and the formula is just so creamy and long-wearing. This shadow is just perfect for single-shade looks!
I also picked out one of their long-wear cream mouse shadows in the shade “Moonlight”. The texture of these shadows isn’t as much mousey as it is bouncy but it is quite soft, pigmented and easy to apply. It’s also surprisingly long-wearing, especially considering the fact that the shadow never actually sets.
Sadly, I don’t think I’ll get much use out of it though 🙁 It has sooo much glitter in it that I an only really see myself wearing it on nights out with my husband, and with a 2 year old and a bun in the oven, that doesn’t happen often. It would be lovely for weddings or prom, though!
Continuing with the theme of eye products, my last pick was a mascara! If you watched my March Favorites, then you already know how I feel about this mascara too! It’s lengthening, volumizing and doesn’t clump my lashes or pool around my eyes! It’s like… natural drama if that’s a thing…
Look at all the fun samples BeautyKind sent with my order too! I got a Juara body cream, and a gloss and frosty-pink highlight from Vintage! I’ll be passing the gloss along for sure cause it’s wayyy to shimmery for me, but wouldn’t that highlight be so pretty on the eyelid!?
P.S. A Note on BeautyKind
I was really impressed with how generous this company is. Not only are the offering new customers the chance to save $50 off a $75 purchase with the code Beautiful2Give but they also have a very generous referral and donation system. You can save $25 with my code off of any purchase over $25 and I’ll get $25 in return! Also, 5% of every purchase is donated to a charity of your choice!
Have you ever shopped from BeautyKind before? Any suggestions for Jouer products I should try next? Let me know!
