He and I ran to Walgreen’s Sunday morning and also picked up some extra Peeps, candy canes and m&ms.
I can’t remember if I’ve ever built a gingerbread house before, but this was for sure Gabriel’s first time. He kept calling it the “ginger house” and asking when we could eat it.
He definitely ate more of the candy than what ended up on the “ginger house” though. I should have seen it coming, but because I didn’t I tossed the Mike & Ike candies in the same bowl as the Hot Tamales. Gabriel did not enjoy the Hot Tamales at all.
He told me, “I don’t like it,” before spitting it out, tossing it back into the bowl and then saying, “I want some milk.” It was hilarious!
By the end of the day he had picked out and eaten all of the colored Mike & Ikes. He left all the red and pink ones in the bowl though as there was no safe way to tell if they were Hot Tamalies or the Strawberry/Cherry flavor. Poor kid.
He was much happier with the candy canes. He’s been asking all week by the way when we can go see Santa again so we can get more candy canes cause, “he’s got lotsa canny canes.”
How’s it look!?
