The weekend before last my husband and I attended a friends baby shower and we have another one to attend in just a few weeks. In fact, I feel like we’ve been going to a lot of baby showers lately… it’s just that time of the year I guess.
With a 3 year old and a 4 month old, I also know a little somethin’ about what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a shower gift. So today I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite gifts to give and receive in case you find yourself headed to lot of baby showers in the near future as well!
It may not seem luxurious but aside from gift cards, diapers and wipes are truly some of the most useful gifts you could possibly give.
These are truly the best swaddling blankets of all time. They’re stretchy and breathable which makes them perfect for a kick proof swaddle that will keep a baby warm but not hot. I use one for Daniel every night.
This is a favorite of mine to gift because it’s the best gift a new mom never knew she wanted. Basically you attach it to whatever headrest the baby’s car-seat will be facing and let the flashing lights, music and mirror do all the entertaining. Basically it extends baby’s happiness time in the car by at least 15 minutes. If you’ve ever driven a car with a screaming baby in the backseat, you know 15 minutes is basically a lifetime.
And finally, whether it’s $50 to Target for last minute necessities or $25 for pizza never underestimate the power of a gift card.
