I’m not really a summer person. I burn easy, hate sweating and have limited patience for all the Florida tourists driving 55 miles an hour in the left lane of the interstate (no offense to those of you who drive slow in the right lane… that’s perfectly acceptable). But now that I’m just 26 short pounds away from my target weight of 140 lbs I’m really excited to piece together some outfits!
This tunic dress is EVERYTHING! It looks so comfortable and flirty and as a mom of two boys under the age of 3, I can’t tell you how much I love that it has pockets. I’m always being gifted random things like small toys, rocks and flowers; so pockets are a convenient place to store said gifts.
And I absolutely adore the lace espadrilles in place of the flats the model is wearing. I feel like the mixed media of the hat and bag help to make the outfit a bit more interesting yet still cohesive and casual.
It’s hard to be a jewelry person when little hands are always grabbing at little things. We jokingly call Daniel “Swiper” (from Dora the Explorer) because he won’t even blink when he snatches something from you. He’ll just transfer it from one hand to another as he stays visually engaged with you, and you won’t even realize he’s holding your [insert: phone, keys, etc. here] until you start to look for it again.
So I’d probably do without the seed bead necklace, but I do love the pop of color.
And I’m telling you… if you have not tried one of the “Lip Quench Rescue’s” from Tarte, your lips are seriously missing out on some glossy, shiny, comfy, hydrating, lip-tinted goodness. It also has a light minty flavor that feels super cooling on the lips.
All that’s missing is a good SPF, a margarita and an easy summer romance novel!
