I know it sounds super cliche, but I bought my husband a grill for Father’s Day and he loves it! He burned our old one down almost 2 years ago (not really, but it did catch fire and we had to use a fire extinguisher on it) so I’ve been teasing him that he’s not responsible enough to have one (but really it just hasn’t been in the budget).
So over Father’s Day weekend while he was in New York for work I drug home one that I found for super cheap on the Target website. It had really good reviews too, but the catch was that I had to assemble it myself.
It was a little overwhelming at first, but I love putting things together; all of the pieces were there and it only took about an hour. Plus it works great! My in laws also recently gave us a (practically brand new) patio set (they’re trying to make room in their backyard for a pool).
So between the two I’m actually kind of excited that my least favorite season is here! And I thought we’d capitalize on that excitement by creating a seasonal bucket list:
- Host a BBQ
- Make Unicorn Poop Cupcake Cones
- Build a sandcastle
- Make homemade ice cream
- Get in the damn pool – you don’t need a beach body to enjoy life!
- Visit the zoo
- Order from a food-truck
- Have a picnic in the park
- Visit the library
- Make a bird-feeder
